Typical Day

Every wedding day is unique and different but here is an example of what Robert Green Photography could provide on a typical day.

Engagement Photo Shoot:Wedding photo 2 Typical Day

You wedding photos will start with an engagement photo shoot over a few hours a number of weeks before your big day. This will take place either at your home, or in an outdoor environment to capture you both in a relaxed atmosphere away from blaring studio lights. Most importantly the time together will help us get to know each other and practice some of the poses we can do on the day.

Wedding photo 1 Typical DayThe Wedding Day:

On the big day of your wedding I typically start a couple of hours before the ceremony at the bride’s location taking some casual informal photos of all the preparations. The small details will be captured such as the make up being applied and the hair being done, to the detailing of the dress; these are small moments of the day that are just as important to capture.

I stay until the bride has put on her dress and shown it off to her bridesmaids. I then go to the church to get some photos of the guests arriving and the groom nervously waiting for his bride to arrive. All photography in the church or venue has to be done with the full agreement of vicar prior to the day. The photography in the church is done discretely without interrupting the proceedings of the day or causing a distraction to the guests.

Once the formal ceremony has been completed we gather outside the church to throw the confetti and capture the emotional moment of the guests greeting you for the first time as husband and wife. This is also a great time for a set of formal photos of you both with your friends and family. The candid reportage photography continues when the wedding party moves onto the reception with more casual relaxed photos of the bride and groom.Wedding photo 4 Typical Day

When the food is being served I use the time to capture details of the wedding like the tables, food, and wedding cake. I also use the time to back up the photos and start processing them before coming back to the dining room to capture the memorable moment of the speeches. After the speeches have been completed it is a time for more candid photos, or if guests want specific family photos I am available to do that. During the evening entertainment I capture the important first dance and the fun of everybody on the dance floor enjoying the celebrations.

After the Wedding:

After the wedding I process the images and send a link to a handful of online “teaser” images for you to view on your honeymoon. When you get back home we can meet up again to go through the photos to shortlist the ones you want to go into your album. Alternatively I can set up an online proofing gallery for you to select your favourite photos.
